I have always been interested in the human body, I have been into sport since I can remember.
I loved competing in track and field, football, cricket, tennis, squash though my formative years and truly wish I knew what I know now to help my younger self. I disliked maths, but loved human biology, disliked physics, but was fascinated by space and exploration, I have always been a hands-on person and near the end of school finally worked out that I loved helping people. So, I thought why not combine this love of sport and the human body and helping people.
I began being a personal trainer for several years, but wanted to not limit myself to just training people, I wanted to help restore people’s dysfunctions and work out why they happened in the first place. So, I continued my studies and completed a Bachelor Degree in Exercise Science at Edith Cowan University in Western Australia (2010), and then furthered my studies by completing a Masters in Science (Strength and Conditioning) in 2011.
Taylored Movement is unlike any other platform. I’m all about finding the solution to your movement difficulties, by not just addressing the cause, but dealing with the reason why it happened in the first place. This result driven approach helps the individual perform at their best both mentally and physically.
The beautiful thing about being human is that we are all different, and we adapt contrarily to each stimulus whether that is emotionally, mentally or physically. This is adopted in my training philosophy. You can’t just give the same program to an individual whether they are the same age, sex or even playing the same sport, as you don’t know their movement capabilities yet or their history of health.
With over 15 years of academic and practical experience, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge.
