Movement Risk Assessment
Your journey will begin with a comprehensive Movement Risk Assessment that assesses your ability to perform functional movement patterns and will provide you with an individual risk profile. The assessment is powered by the scientific backing of the Move2Perform software, which is now used throughout the world by professional teams in a wide range of sporting activities.
This individual risk profile is generated to determine how well your body is moving and to determine your level of injury risk with exercise. This software can even compare your scores against other people of the same age, same gender, participating in the same activity or sport, at the same skill level.
You do not need to be an athlete for this testing, this is designed to test all individuals from age 10-100 years old at any level. It starts with FMS (Functional Movement Screen), assessing simple daily movements, Squat, Push, Lunge, Pull, Bend, Twist, Gait (Walk). And then we move into Y- Balance Test which will test your Lower and Upper body and functional hop testing. Sports specific testing will be applied if needed.
By completing the Movement Risk Assessment as part of your Movement Coaching journey, you will be ensuring that you have satisfied the ‘Mobility / Flexibility’ and ‘Stability’ levels of the pyramid. This is a crucial step before moving upwards to the higher levels of fitness, strength, power and sport.
